A Southwest solar installer took its top 22 closers to private beachfront villas in Panama for six nights. Boats, zip lines and one golf cart per villa.
A residential solar company based in Arizona came to us in early 2025 with a clear brief: reward the top 22 producers from a 140-person sales floor with something they could not book themselves. They had run a Las Vegas weekend the year before and it had not moved the numbers.
We recommended Bocas del Toro because it fits a young, competitive sales floor better than any beach resort. The group landed in Panama City on a Sunday, spent the night in Casco Viejo, and flew to the islands the next morning. Five nights in beachfront villas at Red Frog Beach followed, with breakfast and dinner together every day and the water programme spread across four of the five days.
The awards dinner ran on the fourth night on the beach. The company's VP of Sales presented, our host ran the timing, and the zip-line tour the next morning was deliberately scheduled late.
Two things made the trip work. The first was the villas: individual bedrooms with shared kitchens and pools kept the group together without anyone sharing a room. The second was the boats. Our captains have run this water for us since 2015, and when the wind picked up on day three they swapped the order of the days without the group noticing.
